We’re looking for an engineer interested in working to greatly improve the cloud development experience for AI/ML engineers. There’s a large gap between researchers working in notebooks or dev boxes and using Docker, Kubernetes, and other scalable tools to ship ML code to production environments and run reproducibly at scale.
Runhouse lets you easily iterate on and deploy Python code on Kubernetes. Within 10 lines of code and without conforming to a heavily opinionated DSL, you can turn your local code into a performant service running within your own cluster at any scale. Our customers include startups, public enterprises, and AI labs, all of whom need a modern, seamless development and deployment experience for use cases ranging from launching novel reinforcement learning research to running recurring ML pipelines.

- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Strong system programming, including parallelism, networking, file systems, IPC, containerization, orchestration, and more.
- An uncompromising focus on code quality and performance. Runhouse can run on any cloud or local machine and needs to be performant and reliable.
- High level of autonomy and independence.
- Familiarity with common cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Excellent communication skills. We believe being a great engineer is less about coding and more about communicating well with customers, teammates, and stakeholders.
- Work on open-source libraries is a plus.
